He extends the gift
with hands marred and opened wide.
The two-fold gift contained in one,
life forever, life now.
I fumble for payment,
something to offer
for such priceless treasure,
something worthy of
such love.
He asks only faith
without trappings;
No ticking off the lists
of works,
No seeking to search out His judgements,
No striving to plumb the
depths of unfathomable ways.
Simple, child-like
faith.
Blessings,
Linda

Beautiful Linda! He extends the gift. I love that!
ReplyDeleteI especially like the image of fumbling for payment--something to offer. Don't we do that? Just try and try to even it out. It can't be done. Accepting grace has been the single most liberating act I have ever chosen.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Linda! Happy Easter, sweet friend. Sunday is coming...
Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHow freeing to know we need child-like faith alone. :) Love this.
